. . . . .

GAIN BufferFat Nut has two very effective additives included to help avoid digestive upsets occurring.

The additives included are Yea-Sacc live yeast from Alltech, to stabilise the rumen, alongside increasing dry matter intake and Acidbuf from AB Vista to optimise acid buffering capacity, alongside increasing fibre digestion, to help increase milk butterfat percentage.

The combination and synergy of the two additives will help to buffer the rumen and optimise milk butterfat output, hence the name GAIN BufferFat Nut.

Research carried out by University College Dublin, has identified the risk of Sub Acute Ruminal Acidosis (SARA) occurring when herds are grazing. UCD monitored 144 cows on 12 different farms with a range of Days In Milk from 80 to 150 days. The results showed that 11% of cows were severely affected with SARA, having a rumen acidity level of less than 5.5, while 42% of cows were mildly affected, with a rumen acidity level of 5.6 to 5.8, while the remaining 47% of cows had a normal acidity level of greater than 5.8.
