A great product for thinning French polish and for use as a solvent for knotting spirit based varnishes and some spirit based paints. It can also be used as a cleaner for paintwork and glassware and for wiping resinous matter from knots prior to knotting. It may be used as a fuel in certain lamps/burners. It is a denatured alcohol and manufactured from virgin materials resulting in a cleaner burning flame. Methylated spirits evaporates quickly and without trace making it an ideal cleaner for hard smooth surfaces like glass and ceramics.
