The breeding season is fast approaching and is a significant event in the farming calendar. The breeding decisions we make now will have an impact on the success of the breeding season, calving 2025 and further into the future.

As part of this webinar we address areas such as nutrition, the importance of planning ahead, selection of females to breed future replacements and the use of sexed semen as part of that process. Joining the webinar we have Tj Phelan, Tirlán Sustainability Advisor, Sandra Hayes, Teagasc/Tirlán Joint Programme Co-Ordinator and Niall Duffy, Dairy Geonomics Manager Dovea.

In addition to our breeding webinar, John Ryan from Gortnahoe Co. Tipperary is hosting a breeding farm walk on the 27th of March. John is one of the 11 joint programme participants and all areas of breeding will be discussed in further detail as part of the farm walk.
