Momentum for Milk Pre Season Webinars now available to watch

Tirlán hosted the first Momentum for Milk webinars showcasing how the GAIN Momentum Programme can deliver improved dairy herd performance and efficiencies. In-house experts presented on a range of topics focusing on those areas relevant at this stage of the year.

• On Tuesday 24/1, Elaine Brady and Michael Ryan discussed optimal grassland management and maximising milk solids production from the grazing platform.
• On Wednesday 25/1, Joris Somers and Willie Darmody provided insight into key aspects of calf health and nutrition as well as transition cow health and prevention of transition cow diseases such as ketosis and milk fever.
• On Thursday 26/1, Eamonn Comaskey, John Brennan and Thomas Ryan gave an update on the new Nitrates regulations and how improved milk quality and the actions supported through the Tirlán Sustainability Action Payment drive on-farm sustainability of milk production.

Recordings of all three Momentum for Milk Pre Season webinars are now available for you to watch and brush up on the topics of your choice with key farm management tips to get the new milking season off to the best start.

All three webinars consist of a 20-minute presentation by the speakers and 20-25 minutes of questions from the audience answered by the panel experts.
