Sustainable Action Payment Webinar – Time to take action now

Earlier this year Tirlán Co-op  launched an €18 million annual Sustainability Action Payment as part of a three-year programme to assist our 5,000 milk suppliers as they continue to enhance the environmental and economic sustainability of their family farms.

The programme is designed to assist our farm families  in reducing  carbon footprint, enhancing water quality and biodiversity and improving air quality and soil health in line with Tirlán Co-op’s Living Proof sustainability strategy..

In recognition of current on-farm sustainability actions, for the first year (2022) all suppliers will receive the full payment (0.5cpl / 0.4ppl).

To continue to receive the Sustainability Action Payment next year, Republic of Ireland suppliers are requested in 2022 to undertake any 7 of the 18 sustainability actions available to them, while suppliers within Northern Ireland are request  to undertake 5 of the 12 possible actions available.

In order to avail of this payment suppliers must submit their actions to www.tirlanfarmlife.com under the Sustainability Actions Payment tab. A step by step guide on how to submit and alter these selected actions can be seen below.

How to declare sustainability actions on Tirlán FarmLife

1. Log on to your account on www.tirlanfarmlife.com

2. Click on “My Dashboard” and then click on the “Sustainability Action Payment” tab located in the drop down menu. This is located within the “Milk Supply” section along the left hand side of your screen.

3. Here you will be presented with a list of all 18 Sustainability Actions.

4. Select the sustainability actions which you have completed by ticking the box to the right of the desired action.

5. Once all actions are selected scroll to the bottom of the list, tick the “I confirm” box and then the “Submit Selections” box.

6. After submitting your selections you will be presented with a progress bar which represents how on track you are to receiving your full payment.

7. If you wish to add additional sustainability actions before year end, simply click the “Edit Selections” button to the right of the progress bar and follow the steps again.
