The FlowMag Range from Nutribio has been formulated as an aid in the prevention of grass tetany and trace element deficiencies based on the latest scientific research and EU guidelines.
FlowMag Iodine and Selenium is suitable for dairy and suckler cows on grass throughout the grazing season. Selenium plays a role in the immune system by protecting white blood cells from toxic by-products known as oxidants. Iodine is primarily required for the synthesis of hormones by the thyroid gland which regulates metabolism. Iodine also plays a role in preventing goiter in nursing calves and minimising foetal reabsorption.
Iodine and Selenium work in conjunction with one another and Selenium helps convert Iodine from its stored inactive form to its active form. Magnesium has a major role to play in every metabolic activity, it helps prevent milk fever, grass tetany, buffers the rumen and strong muscular contraction of the gastrointestinal tract which aids in the prevention of displaced abomasum.
