The Tirlán Mountain Challenge 2026 was a resounding success, with over 30 employees and farmer shareholders scaling the majestic Maumturks on Friday, April 24th, and hiking along Killary Fjord on Saturday, April 25th - taking in an old Famine trail along the waters edge. The weather conditions were perfect and offered the most stunning views of the Connemara landscape.

Participants embarked on this challenge with a shared goal: to support our charity partner, Aware. Over the two days, they completed more than 22km and climbed over 1,080 metres. To date, we have raised over €16,400, and there is still time to support the efforts of our hikers by donating here...

Tirlán Co-op appoints new Chairperson

Tirlán Co-operative Society Limited (“Tirlán Co-op”) has confirmed the election of Gerard O’Brien as Chairperson of the Co-operative, succeeding John G. Murphy who has served in the role since October 2020. Gerard O’ Brien is a dairy farmer from Camphire, Cappoquin, Co Waterford. He joined the Board in June 2018 and served as vice-chairperson from May 2024 to May 2025.
