Out and about with our members throughout Summer 2026
Agribusiness All Beef Co-op Corporate Dairy
Tirlán continued to engage with Members, customers and local communities across a busy summer of agricultural shows and farm events in 2026.

The Co-op attended key events including Balmoral, Tullamore, Virginia and Iverk Shows, while also supporting a number of regional shows across the catchment through sponsorship. These events provided valuable opportunities for farmers to meet Tirlán teams, discuss opportunities and challenges on farm, and learn more about the latest developments across the business.

At Balmoral Show, Milk Supply Managers and Milk Solids Growth specialists met with existing and prospective suppliers to discuss herd performance, nutrition and on-farm opportunities. At Tullamore Show, Tirlán and Kepak colleagues welcomed Members of the Twenty20 Beef Club and Tirlán suppliers.
Tirlán contined it’s support for Diageo Ireland at Virginia Show to celebrate dairy breeding excellence through the Baileys Irish Champion Dairy Cow Competition and supported Iverk Show's 200th anniversary, including sponsorship of the "Maid of Tirlán" dairy class.

Education and public engagement remained a key focus throughout the year. Through National Dairy Council School Farm Visits, Tirlán suppliers Shane O'Loughlin, Tom Short and Mile Tree Farms welcomed schoolchildren onto their farms to learn about milk production, animal care and where their food comes from. More than 1000 pupils visited farms during the programme.

As a patron of Agri Aware, Tirlán also supported the organisation's flagship Open Farm event, hosted by Tirlán milk suppliers Jim and Jake Harlin in Co. Meath, helping visitors gain a better understanding of modern dairy farming and food production.

A highlight of the summer was in July when Shane and Kate Fitzgerald, winners of the 2026 Tirlán Dairy and Sustainability Award and Farming Ambassadors of the Year, hosted over 300 fellow Tirlán farmers at open farm evening.
