How many places are available? | 20 fully funded places are available each year, as part of the Sustainable Farming Academy. |
Who will deliver the course? | University College Cork (UCC) will deliver the accredited and fully-funded Diploma to 20 farmer suppliers each year. |
Is the Certificate recognised by the national qualifications standards? |
Yes, students whom successfully complete the course will graduate with a ‘Certificate in Continued Professional Development NFQ Level: 7’ recognised by the National Framework for Qualifications. |
Is the Certificate part-time? | The Certificate Programme is delivered from September to mid-January, commencing September 2025 so as to avoid busiest periods of the dairy calendar. It is delivered over 12 weeks through 12 x 3hr lectures, 1 x workshop (UCC) and 1 x fieldtrip (farm visit), Tutorial support broken down by:

Who is eligible to apply for the Certificate? | Applications for this fully funded Certificate can be made by Tirlán Co-op members whom are 21 years of age and older and have 2 years-experience in a farming/agricultural setting. |
How to apply for the Certificate? | All suppliers interested in completing the Diploma are required to fill-out an expression of interest form, which can be found by clicking on this link here bit.ly/4jNr9CK |
When do Expressions of Interest applications have to be completed by? |
