Farmers Urged to Prioritise Safety During Storm Éowyn

With a Met Éireann Status Red warning in effect across the country due to the arrival of Storm Éowyn, Tirlán is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of all its farmer suppliers, customers, and employees.
In line with safety protocols, the following steps will be implemented:
- All Tirlán branches will be closed on Friday morning and will reopen at 2pm in the afternoon, conditions permitting.
- Milk collections will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the red weather warning, with efforts made to minimise any disruptions.
- Feed deliveries will also be suspended during the red weather warning, but any necessary deliveries will be rescheduled for Saturday to limit disruption.
Tirlán will continue to closely monitor the situation as it evolves. If there are any further developments, this article will be updated with new information.
Ailish Byrne, Chief Agri Officer at Tirlán, emphasised the importance of safety, stating: “The most important message is to ensure your personal safety as Storm Éowyn passes through the country. Farmyards can be particularly dangerous during Status Red weather conditions, and we urge all farmers to take necessary precautions.”
