Farmers looking to enhance the genetic performance of their herds won’t want to miss the upcoming Tirlán Teagasc Joint Programme Breeding Events, taking place as part of Teagasc Breeding Week. These free-to-attend events will be held at three key locations, bringing expert insights, live animal demonstrations, and interactive Q&A sessions to Waterford, Kilkenny and Meath.
With a focus on ‘Realising Genetic Potential of Your Herd’, each event will explore practical steps to improve breeding strategies, optimise herd health, and maximise efficiency.

Expert-Led Discussions and Live Animal Demonstrations
A diverse panel of industry experts will be present at each location, offering valuable guidance on breeding, animal health, and herd management. Joint Programme Co-Ordinator Sandra Hayes will be mediate each discussion and will be joined by Tirlán Veterinary Advisor, Joris Somers, a DairyBeef 500 Advisor, and a selection of Tirlán/Teagasc Future Farmers, alongside local Dairy Advisors and Teagasc specialists.
Each event will include:
